![]() ![]() Diamond Mine: Another timed game, players dig through layers of dirt to find gold, silver & treasure by clearing gems near the bottom. The goal is the clear as many as you can before one reaches the top, where a spider waits. With each turn that they aren’t removed, they move up a space. Butterflies: Unlocked in Zen, Butterflies randomly replaces gems on the bottom of the screen with jeweled butterflies. The only one I’ve seen so far that isn’t one of the main modes was a balancing game where you have to keep the amount of colors even (for example, clearing the same number of red & blue gems). These mini-games are made up of the various other modes listed, but typically have a specific, timed objective. In each stage you have to complete four mini-games to move onto the next level. Quest: Quest is sort of a mini-game mode. You can collect special gems to increase your time, or create several chains quickly to earn a speed bonus. Lightning: A time-trial mode, players have 60 seconds to score as many points as possible. There’s also a “breath modulation” option, where the screen prompts you when to breathe in & out as you would in meditation. You can turn on various ambient sounds, such as crickets or waterfalls. The goal of this mode is to relax players. Zen: This is similar to Classic in that there’s no time limit, but it’s also impossible to run out of moves because the game generates new gems to allow for endless play. There’s no time limit, but it is possible to run out of moves. Classic: As the name suggests, this is the standard, classic version of Bejeweled. ![]() If you line up more than three, you create special gems that do a variety of things from blowing up all surrounding gems to removing all gems of a certain color. Line up at least three of the same colored gems to remove them from the board. It’s a simple yet addictive puzzle game where you match different colored gems. What is it? For the uninitiated or those who turn their noses up at “casual” games, Bejeweled could be called the flagship of PopCap Games. So instead of my usual format, I’m just going to give it a more simplified review. But I’ve been playing Bejeweled 3 on XBLA for a bit now, & want to review it. Breaking it down into Story/Gameplay/Visuals/Replayability just seems a bit… redundant. Have fun with our great collection of the best Bejeweled Games, as always online and for free here on Silvergames.Bejeweled is a series that defies my typical game review approach. So what are you waiting for? There are plenty of tile-matching puzzle games waiting for you, like Match Drop, Galactic Gems, Candy Match Saga and many more. ![]() You prefer it healthy? Then just play one of the fun Match 3 games where you have to combine delicious fruits. Your goal is to combine as many jewels as possible, because if there are more than three, you'll get special jewels that you can use to score even more points. This works either by moving them around or by shooting a cannon at groups of the same color. Most of the time you combine jewels, candies or balloons by placing at least three next to each other and then making them disappear from the screen. There are all kinds of jewels, in all colors and forms and you can play various games with them. Try to combine three or more diamonds to make them disappear from the screen and collect as many points as possible. Is there anything more fun than matching pretty jewels in order to make it through level after level? Probably not. Bejeweled Games are super sweet and fun tile-matching puzzle games that you can enjoy online and for free on. ![]()
